DIY Firework Skewers

Cute skewers perfect for New Year's - or any occasion (and all it takes are wooden skewers, tinsel garland and 10 minutes of time).

Notes from the LHTC Team:

These DIY skewers look like festive little fireworks in your drinks or on an appetizer tray. They're easy and take about 10 minutes from start to finish. Give them a shot for your next New Year's party or Birthday!

DIY Firework Skewers

What you need:

Wooden Skewers, as many as you'd like to make

One rope or string of tinsel garland from your local Craft Store

Hot glue or other quick-drying craft glue

Scissors

Directions:

1. Cut 2-inch lengths of garland (as many as you need). Place a bit of hot glue on the end of a wooden skewer and going down the sides about 1/2-inch. Fold the tinsel over the end of the skewer and press until adhered and the hot glue has set, being careful not to burn your fingers. Remove any stray hot glue strings and you are ready to use!
