Grilled Plank Salmon

How To Cook Grilled Plank Salmon   Comment On This Recipe
Be sure to use gilling planks and not baking planks. The grilling planks are for one use only.
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon(s) ginger - juice
1 tablespoon(s) soy sauce
2 lemons
2 tablespoon(s) honey
2 tablespoon(s) olive oil
1 pinch salt and pepper
1 teaspoon(s) sesame seeds (white)
4 salmon (fresh) - 8 oz. fillets
1 large grilling plank - (cedar, alder or pecan)
1 tablespoon(s) sesame oil
Steps:
-Soak the plank from 2 hours to overnight.
-Heat the gas grill to medium high or a charcoal grill to white coals.
-Mix the ginger juice, soy sauce, lemon and honey together; whisk in the oil.
-Marinate the salmon fillets for 1-6 hours.
-Season the salmon with salt and pepper and let it come to room temperature before cooking.
-Place the plank on the grill for approximately 5 minutes until dried out.
-Sprinkle the top of the plank with kosher salt and set the salmon on top.
-Place a lemon slice on each piece and lightly sprinkle with sesame seeds.
-Place the cover on the grill and cook the salmon (untouched) for 15-30 minutes depending on the grill.
-Remove the salmon at the desired temperature, medium rare is ideal.
-The salmon will start to flake when it's ready.
