Steps: |
| -In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups of flour, sugar, undissolved yeast and salt. |
| -Stirring with a spatula, gradually add the warm water. |
| -Once the water is well incorporated, add enough of the remaining flour to make a soft dough. |
| -Turn your dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 4 minutes or until the dough is smooth and elastic. |
| -Grease the bottom of a clean bowl. Place the dough in the bowl and cover with a barely damp kitchen towel. |
| -Allow to rise 20-30 minutes in a place with a temperature of 80-85 degrees. |
| -The dough will have doubled in size. Punch the dough. |
| -Remove to a lightly floured surface and divide the dough into 18 equal portions. |
| -Roll the dough into balls and place on a lightly greased baking sheet about 2 inches apart. |
| -Cover once more and allow to rise again 20-30 minutes. |
| -Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. |
| -Brush with the beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds. |
| -Bake at 375 degrees for 15-18 minutes until golden. |
| -Remove to wire racks. Serve warm. |
