Steps: |
| -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. |
| -Beat cream cheese, 1/2 cup sugar and vanilla in large bowl with electric mixer, on medium speed, until well blended. |
| -Add eggs; mix just until blended. Pour into crust. |
| -For the apple topping, mix apples and water in medium saucepan over medium heat; cook 4 minutes or until apples are tender, stirring frequently. |
| -Add 2 tablespoons sugar and the 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon; mix lightly. |
| -For the streusel, mix the remaining flour, sugar and cinnamon in a deep bowl. |
| -With a pastry blender, cut the butter through the mixture until it becomes coarse and granular. |
| -Carefully spoon apples onto the pie. Cover apples with streusel topping. |
| -Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes until pie is set and streusel is bubbly. Allow to cool 3 hours or overnight. |
