1 large egg yolk

1 1/4 cup(s) flour (all-purpose)
2/3 cup(s) sugar (powdered)
1/4 teaspoon(s) salt (iodized)
8 tablespoon(s) butter (unsalted) - cut into 1/2-inch pieces and chilled
Steps:
-Whisk the egg yolk, vanilla and cream together in a small bowl; set aside.
-Process the flour, sugar and salt in a food processor until combined.
-Scatter the butter pieces over the top and process the mixture until it resembles a coarse cornmeal, using short pulses, about 15.
-With the machine running, pour the egg mixture through the feed tube.
-Continue to process until the dough just comes together around the processor blade, about 12 seconds.
-Turn the dough onto a sheet of plastic wrap and press into a 6-inch disk.
-Wrap tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
-Allow the dough to reach room temperature before rolling out. (Learn How)
