Ingredients:
2 heads garlic - cloves separated and peeled
1 cup(s) olive oil
1 bunch of thyme - or any other hard herb
1 bay leaf
Steps:
-Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan.
-Method #1: Over low heat, bring to just below a simmer for 45 minutes until garlic is soft and white.
-Method #2: Cover the saucepan with foil and bake the garlic in a 200 degree oven for an hour.
-Store the garlic in the oil. Use the oil for cooking.
