Ingredients:
2 tablespoon(s) olive oil
1 medium onion - diced
4 garlic cloves - minced
1/2 teaspoon(s) basil (dried)
1/2 teaspoon(s) oregano (dried)
1/4 teaspoon(s) thyme (dried)
2 teaspoon(s) salt
1 teaspoon(s) black pepper
2 can(s) stewed tomatoes - 28 ounces each
1 can(s) tomato paste - 6 ounces
Steps:
-Place the stewed tomatoes in a blender or food processor and pulse to desired consistency. Set aside.
-Heat a large saucepan or Dutch oven over medium heat and add the olive oil.
-Add diced onions and cook for 5-8 minutes until they start becoming soft and opaque.
-Add garlic and heat for 30 seconds.
-Add all seasoning and stir until evenly coating the onions and garlic.
-Add the tomatoes and the tomato paste. Stir until well combined.
-Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 1 hour, uncovered.
