Steps: |
| -Place an oven rack in the middle position and preheat the oven to 375. |
| -In a medium bowl, mix the Ricotta, egg, basil, parsley and 1 cup of Parmesan together; season with salt and pepper. |
| -Spread 1 cup of sauce over the bottom of a 13 x 9-inch pan, and top with 3 lasagna noodles (placed side-by-side). |
| -Spread 1/3 of the Ricotta mixture over the noodle layer. Top evenly with 1 cup of Mozzarella. |
| -Spoon 1 1/2 cups of sauce evenly over cheese layer. Repeat twice layering noodles, Ricotta mixture, Mozzarella and sauce. |
| -Top the dish with last 3 lasagna noodles. Spread 1 1/2 cups of sauce over this layer. |
| -Sprinkle evenly with remaining Mozzarella and Parmesan. |
| -Cover lasagna with a sheet of parchment, then foil. Bake for 15 minutes. |
| -Remove foil and bake for 25 minutes more until cheese is browned. |
| -Remove from oven and allow to cool for 15 minutes before serving. |
