Steps: |
| -Preheat oven to 400 degrees. |
| -On a lightly floured surface, roll the puff pastry to 16 x 10-inches and place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. |
| -With a sharp knife, lightly score the dough 1 inch from the sides to mark a rectangle; make sure not to cut through. |
| -Using a fork, pierce the dough inside the rectangle every 1/2-inch. |
| -Par bake until golden, about 15 minutes. |
| -While the pastry is baking, trim the bottom of asparagus to fit inside the puff pastry crosswise. |
| -Remove the pastry from the oven. |
| -Spread the cheese on the pastry evenly and arrange the asparagus in a single layer over the cheese. |
| -Brush with oil and season with salt and pepper. |
| -Bake on 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes until the the spears are tender. |
