Steps: |
| -Preheat oven to 350 degrees. |
| -In a large bowl, cream butter with hand mixer. |
| -Slowly add sugar and beat on medium speed until light and fluffy. |
| -Add the egg and beat well. |
| -Add water and vanilla and beat well. |
| -Add flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg; mix. |
| -Stir in the oats and nuts. |
| -Drop dough by a heaping teaspoonful onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Place dough 2 inches apart. |
| -Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. |
| -Cool slightly and tranfer to wire rack to continue cooling. |
