Ingredients:
2 cup(s) flour
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt (iodized)
4 teaspoon(s) baking powder
1 tablespoon(s) sugar
1/2 cup(s) shortening - vegetable
2/3 cup(s) milk (whole)
1 tablespoon(s) flour
Steps:
-Preheat the oven to 425 degrees and grease two 8-inch cake pans.
-Mix flour, salt, baking powder and sugar in a large bowl.
-Cut the shortening into the flour with a pastry blender until the mixture resembles a coarse meal.
-Add the milk and stir until the dough begins to form a ball.

-Pat into a half inch thickness.
-Cut the biscuits with a ring mold or biscuit cutter. Be sure to cut straight down. Twisting will seal edges and prevent biscuits from rising.
-Place touching each other in the cake pans and bake for 15-20 minutes at 425 degrees.
