Ingredients:
1 cup(s) flour
2 teaspoon(s) baking powder
1 tablespoon(s) sugar
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt (iodized)
4 tablespoon(s) butter
2 eggs - well beaten
1/2 cup(s) heavy cream
Steps:
-Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
-Mix flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in a large bowl.
-Work in 4 tablespoons of butter with your fingers or a pastry blender until mixture looks like a coarse meal.
-Add the eggs and cream; stir until blended.
-Sprinkle extra flour on a board and place dough onto it.
-Knead flour for about a minute.
-Pat the dough about 3/4-inch thick and cut into wedges.
-Lightly butter a cookie sheet and place wedges on it.
-Bake on 425 degrees for 15 minutes.
You can add dried fruit, nuts or chocolate chips to these. Serve with jam.
