Use this traditional recipe as a jumping off point for experimentation. Try adding roasted peppers, chilis, different beans and spices. | Ingredients: | | 2 - chickpeas - drained and rinsed | | 2 tablespoon(s) - roasted garlic - or 3 garlic cloves minced on the microplane | | 2 tablespoon(s) tahini | | 1/2 teaspoon(s) cumin | | 1/4 cup(s) lemon juice - fresh | | 1 pinch red chile flakes - ground | | 1/4 cup(s) olive oil | | 1 pinch salt and pepper - to taste | |
Steps: | | -Place all of the ingredients except for the oil, salt and pepper in a food processor. Puree until a paste is formed. | | -Slowly drizzle in the olive oil and season to taste. |
