These pecans are a great addition to salads, and they are good on their own too!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup(s) sugar
2 cup(s) warm water
2 cup(s) pecans
2 tablespoon(s) sugar
1 tablespoon(s) chili powder
1 pinch red pepper - ground
Steps:
-Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
-In a medium bowl, dissolve 1/2 cup of sugar in warm water and add pecans; soak for 10 minutes.
-Drain and discard the sugar water.
-In a large bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of sugar, chili powder and red pepper.
-Add the pecans and toss to coat.
-Spread the pecans evenly on a lightly greased baking sheet.
-Bake for 5 minutes, stir, and continue to bake for 5 more minutes until golden brown.
