When melting and working with chocolate, make sure utensils and strawberries are all very dry. Any amount of water can cause the chocolate to seize, which means it will turn grainy and firm.
Ingredients:
1 package chocolate chips (semi-sweet) - 12 oz.
1/2 cup(s) half and half
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract
4 dozen strawberries - washed and dried completely
Steps:
-Cover a sheet pan with parchment paper or foil.
-Over low heat, melt the chocolate in a double boiler until smooth, stirring constantly.
-Mix in the half and half and vanilla.
-Grab the stem end of the strawberries and dip them into the chocolate mixture.
-Gently lay them on the parchment.
-Allow chocolate to set.
