For sectioning a grapefruit, you will need a cutting board and a large chef knife. | |

Begin by cutting the end off the grapefruit far enough in to trim all of the white pith from the end. | Do the same to the other end. |

Turn the grapefruit onto one of the cut ends. Following the natural curve, cut away the rind and all of the white pith. | Continue all the way around the fruit. |

Go back around and clean up any large pieces of white pith until only the citrus sections are exposed. | Place the cleaned fruit in the palm of your hand and carefully cut one side of the section. Use the dividing pith as a guide. |

Cut the other side and remove the section. | Continue all the way around the grapefruit until all the sections are cut away. |

If you are storing the sections for later use, squeeze the juice from the grapefruit refuse. | |
